You Magazine Stalking Henri

Like a broken record, I write again about the van Breda murders. While there is no news of any consequence (ie no arrests have yet been made), it has come to pass than in order to find out any information stalker photographers have had to be employed to track down new details of Henri van Breda.

This happened over the last couple of weeks, courtesy of the You Magazine photographer, quoted on the article to be Mike Behr. It made for interesting reading and insight into Henri’s life. With no information forthcoming from the police,  this is the only way to try and find out what is going on. Have someone follow Henri. It seems that’s what they did.

You coverYou can see the photos have been taken from a distance….

Henri at the beachThe main body of the article contains details of Henri’s movements and conversations, which, if true are nothing less than deceptive & suspicious. There are two things that jump out at me.

According to this report, it’s said that Henri moved out of the home of his uncle and aunt and into a guest house not far away. On one occasion, he went back to their house at a time they were not home and met with a man, seemingly known to him, with a horse and cart…hiding behind a tree, the You photographer caught the interchange. They said after a conversation, Henri went back inside while the man hung around outside. Before leaving the carthorse man went to the front door. What that was all about, no one knows. But it seems suspicious behaviour.

Henri with carthorseThe second red flag for me was the information, the You Magazine journalist (the article was written by Joanie Bergh) got from staff at the guesthouse where Henri was staying. Henri told staff  “he was from Johannesburg and a student at the University of Stellenbosch. He said he was on holiday and occasionally visited family who lived nearby. His parents lived in Australia, he added, and he couldn’t live with his uncle and aunt because they are in an old-age home.” (You Magazine 16th April 2015, page 8/9).

It sounds absolutely bizarre that he would tell someone that.

It seems Henri’s habits at the guesthouse consisted of watching TV, using his laptop, smoking (Camel) and drinking red wine and whiskey alone in his room.

The You article also says that on the Thursday before Easter, Henri bid his aunt and uncle an emotional farewell and was put on a plane to Johannesburg. There have been rumours around that Marli is or has been discharged from her rehabilitation facility in Strand. It is not infeasible for her to move in with the same uncle and aunt who are her guardians as well. The article also mentions that the security surrounding Marli is as tight as ever with policemen guarding her 24 hours a day. Why is that? There is something strange going on here that we know nothing about. The police remain silent. According to an IOL report, police spokesman Andre Trout says they will be saying nothing about the investigation apart from the fact that significant progress was being made.

The concluding paragraph of Joanie Bergh’s You Magazine article says “the family are incredibly tense about the fact nobody has been apprehended for the crime, the insider reveals. It feels like a ticking time bomb that could explode. Nobody knows when – or if- they’re going to arrest the axe murderer.”

For those who are following this story from abroad, that’s the latest we know. It originates with the You Magazine and has been published in a variety of forms in leading newspapers and on various websites.

Altogether it’s a terribly sad story. But as, I began to write, and I said I was like a broken record in bringing the case up again, I have to conclude by repeating what I’ve said many times before on this forum. It’s not about here and now. This life is but a breath and then we are gone. In a prayer that Moses prayed, he captures the brevity of life…

Psalm 90:4-6

A thousand years in your sight  are like a day that has just gone by,  or like a watch in the night. Yet you sweep people away in the sleep of death— they are like the new grass of the morning: In the morning it springs up new, but by evening it is dry and withered.

Another life is to come.

God bless you!

In His Grip,

Helga xx
