All Things LCHF

If you have landed here looking for information about Low Carb High Fat eating, you’ve come to the right place. You may be interested in hearing from Prof Tim Noakes himself. It that’s the case, look for the page title on the header of this blog. There are about 12 hours of audio interview with myriads of diet and health topics. It will take you a little while to get through it and you are guaranteed to learn A LOT!

This series of pages is all about following a Low Carb High Fat lifestyle. One of the most important things to remember is that each one of us is unique. What works for me, may not work for you. It takes time to find out what foods suit our body and its needs and to work on eliminating foods that don’t go down well. This is a journey and a lifestyle.

All the information soon became too much for this one page, so I’ve created a drop down format for all the different areas, including links to all the talks Professor Tim Noakes has done on 107.5 CCFm, my simple guidelines, additional resources and recipes. The recipes particularly take up a lot of space and I needed some place to put them. The drop down menu works well for those. I may have to create a separate section for them.

For those who asked, these are the 9 important tests that should be done at some stage to see just what is going on in your body. Test for Insulin, Glucose, HbA1c, HDL Cholesterol, LDL Cholesterol particle size, Triglicerides, Uric Acid, Homocysteine and C-Reactive Protein.

Terry Wahls Story
For four years, secondary progressive multiple sclerosis confined Dr. Terry Wahls to a tilt-recline wheelchair. But by using Functional Medicine to create the Wahls Protocol™, Dr. Wahls has transformed her health and body: now she walks easily without a cane and commutes by bicycle. Dr. Wahls uses these diets and protocols in her primary care and traumatic brain injury clinics and is leading a clinical trial to test her protocols on others. http://www.terrywahls.com/Meal suggestion:

Tossed salad and scrambled eggs!
